Added Time 1.0.1
Out now on the App Store · September 30, 2026
Automatic updates bring it to iPhones over about a week. To get it now, update by hand in the App Store.
A copy of your record, in your own iCloud
When iCloud is on, Added Time now keeps a copy of your record in your own iCloud, refreshed as you use the app. If you delete the app and reinstall it, or set up a new iPhone with the same Apple Account and iCloud on, Today offers the copy back. Nothing is replaced until you choose. Before you delete the app, check that its Settings reads Latest copy in iCloud.
- What's in it: your subjects, every block and kept habit, and your windows, limits and screen-time goals. Not the apps you picked for them: those stay on the iPhone where you picked them, so you choose them again.
- Where it lives: in Added Time's own private folder in your iCloud (not in the Files app). We can't see it.
- On by default, free on every tier. To turn it off, open the app's Settings → Keep a copy in iCloud. While it's off, the app doesn't read or write iCloud on its own. Reinstalling the app turns it back on.
- To remove the copies: with the switch off, tap Remove the copies from iCloud and confirm. It removes the copies, never the record on your iPhone. It's the one way to remove them: iOS doesn't list Added Time in its iCloud storage settings.
The privacy policy has the details, including what to do with more than one iPhone: The copy in your iCloud.
If the record won't open
If the record on your iPhone ever can't be opened, Added Time now says so on Today and can bring the earlier one back. Nothing is deleted.
Screen time, tidier
- One name for each thing across the screen-time screens, and the Week's type on the sheets it opens.
- The screen-time dashboard is there for anyone who has given Added Time Screen Time access.
- A quiet morning can now be your first screen-time goal.
- When a daily limit is reached, Today and the Week say so, with Break › right there.
Fixes
- Take a break lists only the apps that are really hidden.
- The window editor names the apps that stay open.
- The paywall says “Screen-time goals”, like the rest of the app.
- Limits are called daily limits: one cap a day, shared by the apps it names.
- During a break or the emergency exit, Today and the Week no longer say apps are set aside while they're open.
